Sandwickhill Studios is a family business in the true-est sense: this venture was created not just by us, but also with the (much appreciated) help and support of our community, family and friends.

Our Studios

Fit for purpose

We have created a place for you to move, laugh, sweat and dance in. Visit our studios to find calm, to let off steam, to dance away your troubles, and to build strength. Our Hebridean space welcomes the local community and visitors, as well as the wider online community – find your own space for movement with us.

Every element has been carefully considered to be welcoming, versatile and beautiful – and of course fit for purpose. As well as aesthetic detail you’ll find sprung floors, surround sound, professional lighting, mechanical ventilation and responsive heating and cooling. Our connection with nature and with the islands can be found throughout – from the beachy wood cladding (used inside and out) to the botanical murals and wallpaper (did you know our mural features leaves found entirely in our local Castle Grounds?).

We have availability for one-off or regular private hires. Whether you’re running a fitness or dance class or are just looking for an event space, get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Disco Hall

Light up the dance floor!

This Disco Hall – our largest studio – is so named because of the giant glitter ball that dominates the vaulted ceiling in this bright and airy space. We love to get the disco lights on and have a boogie, but this studio is also suitable for any larger dance / fitness class or event. (Don’t worry – the disco lights can be turned off as well as on!)

11.8m x 10.4m Sprung Harlequin dance floor, mirrors (with curtains) and portable ballet barres
Glitter ball and disco & UV lights
Sonos wifi speakers and SUB woofer for big bass sound
Air conditioning
Electric heating
Option of fully matted / cushioned floor

Fire exit opening to private lawn with field beyond

Ossian's Studios

A Space for calm

Ossian’s Studio (named after a shed that once stood here) is the more intimate of our spaces. This studio, with its honey coloured oak floor and leafy green wallpaper, evokes feelings of peace, warmth and calm. It’s ideal for smaller classes, private sessions or wellbeing workshops where creating a safe and cosy environment is key.
